Welcome To The SC FOCUS Progress Report

At SC Focus Organization we bring you the first ever progress report about the Star Citizen game. This article is intended to provide our org with information about the current status. Eventually we will release the Star Citizen and Squadron 42 Status pages and this report helps pave the way for our internal progress estimates. We hope you enjoy the intel.

Stretch Goal Completion List

To simplify things, we take the full list of stretch goals on the RSI website and list our evaluation of their progress. We provide only 3 states to help keep things basic - Not Started - In Progress - Complete. We also use - Not Scored - for any stretch goal that involves noteworthy mention but that doesn't affect significantly the overall game completion in the opinion of the writers of this article.

By "complete" we don't mean the feature is polished and fully implemented. Due to the current Early Alpha stage even any feature that seems "finished" will still need polish or even could need rebuilding from scratch. We have seen CIG completely rebuild from flyable ships to armor sets to locations like Arccorp Area 18.

By "complete" we mean that the technical solution has been crafted and and the feature is "solved" for gameplay purposes.

Note: This list only looks at the stretch goals listed on the original Star Citizen Funding Goals page that only apply to Star Citizen (not Squadron 42, nor cosmetic items). In the future, for our Star Citizen release date estimate we will be using a different set of features but for this category we are looking at specifically Stretch Goal completion. We understand many goals / features were added after the $65M Stretch Goal and therefore this series will not cover those features (but our future section on Release Dates will).

Stretch Goal Completion Scoring

We will score completion of Stretch Goals by assigning 0 points if they have not been started (that the community can see), 0.3 points if the Stretch Goal is being implemented and 1 point if it's complete, functionally complete or near complete. If a stretch goal overlaps with another stretch goal we will show it as Deprecated.

Since this article aims to provide a status update on the game, the community updates are and have been frequent, that's enough to mark it as complete as a feature. The community updates have only provided rough time frames so the work provided by SC Focus organization helps to estimate dates and progress in general. We also keep a complete history of release dates on our Star Citizen Release Dates page. This is an example of a worthy mention that isn't scored towards tracking game progress.

The Drake Interplanetary Cutlass Black is technically working i the Alpha. It can transport cargo and dogfight. There is still polish and addition of systems as well as variants left but the ship is basically in.
